About The Boat
“For The Boyz”
This is a 2016 Thunderjet 21 ft Chinook OS fully welded aluminum boat with full hard top.

Included in the on-board equipment is a portable toilet, which can be curtained off while in use. Outfitted with permanent seating for 8 (2 swivel suspension seats and 2 bench seats), collapsing table, live well (60”x15”x16”), dual batteries, auto bilge pump, self draining bow deck, bow mount electric anchor winch (150’ rode), spare anchor (100 ft rode), full navigation lighting, interior lighting, electric horn, windshield wipers, expansive storage areas, lake water wash down system, fold down boarding ladder on transom extension, 3 flashlights, transport Canada required boat safety gear, emergency food supply, emergency shelter tarps and other survival gear. This boat carries a whistle in the required safety gear as well as carries two air powered horns.
The boat currently has one GPS/fish finder permanently mounted.
Marine navigation charts will be on the boat for any area available.
Specifically regarding safety (as some of these areas would be considered remote) the boat operator will always carry a spot X device (SOS satellite device), hand held GPS with waypoint marks throughout the area, maps and a plan for rescue if needed. If the spot X device SOS function is activated a message is sent to a Home contact that has a written plan to contact emergency services, the message sent contains the longitude and latitude of the exact location from where the message was sent. The boat operator will be certified in first aid.
This boat is designed to be used for offshore fishing on the west coast of Canada. However this does not mean that the boat will remain on the water in foul weather, the operator maintains the right to end the trip if the weather turns bad.

The name of the boat was derived from the depth of the interior being high enough that my wife was not worried about our two Shelties (Ringo & Spunk RIP) getting out of the boat.
